TRIVIEW

TRIVIEW is an app designed to let travelers plan, record, and share their trips in one place.

Today’s travelers spread information across social media, notes apps, and spreadsheets. As a result, they struggle with scattered details, difficulty revisitingmemories, and friction when sharing experiences.

This project focuses on Gen Z travelers and builds a UX that helps them “organize more, enjoy more.” From planning to recording to sharing memories, the experience connects each step so a trip can be managed end-to-end in a single app.

At the early stage of app design, a user survey was conducted to understand travelers’ behaviors and challenges — focusing on travel frequency, information sources, trip documentation, sharing habits, and post-travel reflection.

The results revealed that most users collect and share travel information through social media (Instagram, TikTok).
Many mentioned difficulties such as “I can’t organize the information I saved” and “I want to share memories easily after my trip.”
While most users enjoy taking photos and keeping memories, many feel that organizing or sharing them is time-consuming.

Insights

01

Travel is not only a personal experience but also one that gains value through sharing.

02

Information is often scattered; users want a centralized space to plan and manage trips.

03

Users want to keep their photos but find organizing them tedious — automation can solve this contradiction.

Design Refrection

Based on these insights, TRIVIEW consolidated trip planning, recording, and sharing into “Plan in One Page.”
This visual organization allows users to manage all trip data seamlessly.
Additionally, automated album generation and optional memo input were implemented to balance organization with emotional reflection.

Pain points

  • Too much travel info on social media → hard to find what she really needs

  • Even if she finds good spots from others SNS’s posts, it’s annoying to add them to her own plan

  • After traveling, she wants to make a short video, but it’s too much work

  • When looking back, it’s hard to find the photo she wants

Opportunity

  • Suggest places based on her interests

  • When she saves travel spots, the app makes a plan for her automatically

  • If she uploads photos/videos, the app makes an album or video summary

Final design

The home screen displays a countdown to the next trip, helping users stay motivated for upcoming travels.

The calendar visualizes travel history and uses color coding to distinguish between domestic and international trips.

In the My Page section, users can view their travel footprint on a world map, seeing where they’ve been and where they are now — enhancing a sense of achievement and engagement.

Based on survey insights where users expressed a desire to share their travel plans with friends,

a feature was added that allows users to choose whether to make each plan public or private.

This provides flexibility for both private journaling and social sharing experiences.
